I am Yolandi, the “Queen of Hygiene”.
I am the oldest of 3 sisters working at NIZZA Foods since August 2013 as the Food Safety Manager. Before joining the family business, I was working as a Beauty Therapist. Thereafter I started as a flight attendant at British Airways (Comair) for about 7 years.
At NIZZA Foods it is my duty to ensure that top quality bakery products are produced. As a mother of 2 daughters I firmly believe that the food you buy from us must not only be tasty but safe for the whole family to enjoy. Our manufacturing bakery is Audited by an accredited laboratory (Merieux Nutri Science (Swift)) every 3 months to ensure that no unwanted creepy crawlies make their way to our food and we are also audited on our entire Food Safety Management system and HACCP every year by Intertek. Our latest score in 2017 was 95.3%. Our team is very passionate and dedicated to ensuring that only the best food is delivered to you.
Food Safety has a lot of challenges as the industry becomes more evolved and informed every year. Legislation and Regulation changes can have a major effect on Food Safety systems. All for the better of course. It is no wonder that I was awarded a small prize at our year end function for the Most Stressed for 2017, hehehe!
