KARLIEN FOURIE

I started working at Nizza Foods on a temporary basis since the beginning of Nizza Foods in September 1997.  I was only 15 years old at this stage and only worked at the factory during my school holidays.

I started my journey officially at Nizza Foods on the 1st of July 2008, after 18 months working as a teacher, I decided to join my father and mother with our family business.   I started with administrative tasks, then HR etc.  Shortly after I started, my mom was no longer full time involved with the business and I took over some of her work, which included creditors and debtors. 

Today, almost 10 years later, I have learned so much from answering telephones and taking orders, working on the factory floor to managing our business with a great management team.

I love spending time with my family.  In the 10 years I’ve been with Nizza Foods, I had 4 lovely kids.  Yes, it is crazy and a busy household, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
